سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص حج کا ارادہ کرے تو اسے جلدی انجام دے لے ۱؎ ۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: He who intends to perform hajj should hasten to do so.

آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کے نزدیک سب سے عظیم دن یوم النحر ہے پھر یوم القر ہے ۱؎ ، اس دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے پانچ یا چھ اونٹنیاں لائی گئیں، تو ان میں سے ہر ایک آگے بڑھنے لگی کہ آپ نحر کی ابتداء اس سے کریں جب وہ گر گئیں تو آپ نے آہستہ سے کچھ کہا جو میں نہ سمجھ سکا تو میں نے پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو چاہے اس میں سے گوشت کاٹ لے ۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Qurt: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The greatest day in Allah's sight is the day of sacrifice and next the day of resting which Isa said on the authority of Thawr is the second day. Five or six sacrificial camels were brought to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and they began to draw near to see which he would sacrifice first. When they fell down dead, he said something in a low voice, which I could not catch. So I asked: What did he say? He was told that he had said: Anyone who wants can cut off a piece.

میں حجۃ الوداع میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس تھا، ہدی کے اونٹ لائے گئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ابوالحسن ( علی رضی اللہ عنہ کی کنیت ہے ) کو بلاؤ ، چنانچہ آپ کے پاس علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو بلا کر لایا گیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: تم برچھی کا نچلا سرا پکڑو ، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اوپر کا سرا پکڑا پھر اونٹوں کو نحر کیا جب فارغ ہو گئے تو اپنے خچر پر سوار ہوئے اور علی کو اپنے پیچھے سوار کر لیا۔

Narrated Arfah ibn al-Harith al-Kandi: I was present with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم at the Farewell Pilgrimage. When the sacrificial camels were brought to him, he said: Call AbulHasan (Ali) to me. Ali was then called for and he (the Prophet) said to him: Catch hold of the lower end of the lance, and the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم himself caught hold of the upper end. He then pierced the camels with it. When he finished slaughtering, he rode on his mule and mounted Ali behind him.

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: یہ دین برابر قائم رہے گا یہاں تک کہ تم پر بارہ خلیفہ ہوں گے، ان میں سے ہر ایک پر امت اتفاق کرے گی پھر میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک ایسی بات سنی جسے میں سمجھ نہیں سکا میں نے اپنے والد سے پوچھا: آپ نے کیا فرمایا؟ تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: یہ سارے خلفاء قریش میں سے ہوں گے ۔

Narrated Jabir ibn Samurah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The religion will continue to be established till there are twelve caliphs over you, and the whole community will agree on each of them. I then heard from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم some remarks which I could not understand. I asked my father: What is he saying: He said: all of them will belong to Quraysh.

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: یہ دین بارہ خلفاء تک برابر غالب رہے گا لوگوں نے یہ سن کر اللہ اکبر کہا، اور ہنگامہ کرنے لگے پھر آپ نے ایک بات آہستہ سے فرمائی، میں نے اپنے والد سے پوچھا: ابا جان! نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا فرمایا؟ کہا: آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: یہ سب قریش میں سے ہوں گے ۔

Narrated Jabir bin Samurah: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: This religion will continue to be strong till the time of twelve caliphs. The people then uttered: Allah is more great and uproared. He then silently a word which I could not understand. So I said to my father: What did he say, father ? He said: All of them will belong to Quraish.

اس میں اتنا اضافہ ہے: پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے گھر واپس گئے تو قریش کے لوگ آپ کے پاس آئے اور انہوں نے عرض کیا: پھر کیا ہو گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: پھر قتل ہو گا ۔

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Jabir bin Samurah through a different chain of narrators. This version adds: When he came back to his home. the Quraish came to him and said: Then what will happen ? He said: Then turmoil will prevail.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر دنیا کا ایک دن بھی رہ جائے گا تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس دن کو لمبا کر دے گا، یہاں تک کہ اس میں ایک شخص کو مجھ سے یا میرے اہل بیت میں سے اس طرح کا برپا کرے گا کہ اس کا نام میرے نام پر، اور اس کے والد کا نام میرے والد کے نام پر ہو گا، وہ عدل و انصاف سے زمین کو بھر دے گا، جیسا کہ وہ ظلم و جور سے بھر دی گئی ہے ۔ سفیان کی روایت میں ہے: دنیا نہیں جائے گی یا ختم نہیں ہو گی تاآنکہ عربوں کا مالک ایک ایسا شخص ہو جائے جو میرے اہل بیت میں سے ہو گا اس کا نام میرے نام کے موافق ہو گا ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: عمر اور ابوبکر کے الفاظ سفیان کی روایت کے مفہوم کے مطابق ہیں۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If only one day of this world remained. Allah would lengthen that day (according to the version of Zaidah), till He raised up in it a man who belongs to me or to my family whose father's name is the same as my father's, who will fill the earth with equity and justice as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny (according to the version of Fitr). Sufyan's version says: The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man of my family whose name will be the same as mine. Abu Dawud said: The version of Umar and Abu Bakr is the same as that of Sufyan.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر زمانہ سے ایک ہی دن باقی رہ جائے گا تو بھی اللہ تعالیٰ میرے اہل بیت میں سے ایک شخص کھڑا بھیجے گا وہ اسے عدل و انصاف سے اس طرح بھر دے گا جیسے یہ ظلم و جور سے بھر دی گئی ہے ۔

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If only one day of this time (world) remained, Allah would raise up a man from my family who would fill this earth with justice as it has been filled with oppression.

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: مہدی میری نسل سے فاطمہ کی اولاد میں سے ہوں گے ۔

Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The Mahdi will be of my family, of the descendants of Fatimah. Abdullah ibn Jafar said: I heard Abul Malih praising Ali ibn Nufayl and describing his good qualities.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مہدی میری اولاد میں سے کشادہ پیشانی، اونچی ناک والے ہوں گے، وہ روئے زمین کو عدل و انصاف سے بھر دیں گے، جیسے کہ وہ ظلم و جور سے بھر دی گئی ہے، ان کی حکومت سات سال تک رہے گی ۔

Narrated Abu Saeed al-Khudri: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The Mahdi will be of my stock, and will have a broad forehead a prominent nose. He will fill the earth will equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ایک خلیفہ کی موت کے وقت اختلاف ہو گا تو اہل مدینہ میں سے ایک شخص مکہ کی طرف بھاگتے ہوئے نکلے گا، اہل مکہ میں سے کچھ لوگ اس کے پاس آئیں گے اور اس کو امامت کے لیے پیش کریں گے، اسے یہ پسند نہ ہو گا، پھر حجر اسود اور مقام ابراہیم کے درمیان لوگ اس سے بیعت کریں گے، اور شام کی جانب سے ایک لشکر اس کی طرف بھیجا جائے گا تو مکہ اور مدینہ کے درمیان مقام بیداء میں وہ سب کے سب دھنسا دئیے جائیں گے، جب لوگ اس صورت حال کو دیکھیں گے تو شام کے ابدال اور اہل عراق کی جماعتیں اس کے پاس آئیں گی، حجر اسود اور مقام ابراہیم کے درمیان اس سے بیعت کریں گی، اس کے بعد ایک شخص قریش میں سے اٹھے گا جس کا ننہال بنی کلب میں ہو گا جو ایک لشکر ان کی طرف بھیجے گا، وہ اس پر غالب آئیں گے، یہی کلب کا لشکر ہو گا، اور نامراد رہے گا وہ شخص جو کلب کے مال غنیمت میں حاضر نہ رہے، وہ مال غنیمت تقسیم کرے گا اور لوگوں میں ان کے نبی کی سنت کو جاری کرے گا، اور اسلام اپنی گردن زمین میں ڈال دے گا، وہ سات سال تک حکمرانی کرے گا، پھر وفات پا جائے گا، اور مسلمان اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھیں گے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: بعض نے ہشام سے نو سال کی روایت کی ہے اور بعض نے سات کی۔

Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Disagreement will occur at the death of a caliph and a man of the people of Madina will come flying forth to Makkah. Some of the people of Makkah will come to him, bring him out against his will and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. An expeditionary force will then be sent against him from Syria but will be swallowed up in the desert between Makkah and Madina. When the people see that, the eminent saints of Syria and the best people of Iraq will come to him and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. Then there will arise a man of Quraysh whose maternal uncles belong to Kalb and send against them an expeditionary force which will be overcome by them, and that is the expedition of Kalb. Disappointed will be the one who does not receive the booty of Kalb. He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and establish Islam on Earth. He will remain seven years, then die, and the Muslims will pray over him. Abu Dawud said: Some transmitted from Hisham nine years and some seven years .

اس میں نو سال ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: معاذ کے علاوہ نے ہشام سے نو سال کی روایت کی ہے۔

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Qatadah through a different chain of narrators. This version has nine years . Abu Dawud said: The other narrators mentioned nine years from Hisham except Muadh.

ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہی حدیث روایت کرتی ہیں، معاذ کی حدیث زیادہ کامل ہے۔

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Umm Salamah from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم through a different chain of narrators. The tradition of Muadh is more perfect.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے دھنسائے جانے والے لشکر کا واقعہ روایت کرتی ہیں اس میں ہے: میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! اس شخص کا کیا حال ہو گا جو نہ چاہتے ہوئے زبردستی لایا گیا ہو؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وہ بھی ان کے ساتھ دھنسا دیا جائے گا البتہ قیامت کے دن وہ اپنی نیت پر اٹھایا جائے گا ۔

Umm salamah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying about the swallowing up an army by the earth. I asked: How will a man who comes against his will (be swallowed up by the earth), Messenger of Allah ? He replied: All will be swallowed up, but each will be raised according to his intention on the Day of Resurrection.

علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے بیٹے حسن رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف دیکھا، اور کہا: یہ میرا بیٹا سردار ہو گا جیسا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کا نام رکھا ہے، اور عنقریب اس کی نسل سے ایک ایسا شخص پیدا ہو گا جس کا نام تمہارے نبی کے نام جیسا ہو گا، اور سیرت میں ان کے مشابہ ہو گا البتہ صورت میں مشابہ نہ ہو گا پھر انہوں نے «سيملأ الأرض عدلاً» کا واقعہ ذکر کیا۔

Abu Dawud said: Abu Ishaq told that Ali looked at his son al-Hasan and said: This son of mine is a sayyid (chief) as named by the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, and from his loins will come forth a man who will be called by the name of your Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and resemble him in conduct but not in appearance. He then mentioned the story about his filling the earth with justice.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم یوں نہ کہو: جو اللہ چاہے اور فلاں چاہے ۱؎ بلکہ یوں کہو: جو اللہ چاہے پھر فلاں چاہے۔

Narrated Hudhayfah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Do not say: What Allah wills and so and so wills, but say: What Allah wills and afterwards so and so wills.
